About Us

The Engineering Degree Division

of IERT was founded in 2001 as a government-aided self-financed institute. It is currently affiliated with Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, and U.P.

IERT offers B.Tech courses in seven disciplines: Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

The Mission of the Association shall be:

1. To establish and promote the spirit of brotherhood among the alumni, faculty, other staff, and students of the Institute,

2. To assist the Institute in building and evolving a vision for itself and aiding it in meeting its objectives.

3. To build a complete database of all the alumni of the association for effective communication between the Institute and its alumni.

4. To create a corpus and use it to support educational programs at the Institute or other places deemed appropriate by the association, start faculty and student exchange programs, sponsor lectures and debates, provide fellowships and scholarships, and support all activities that help build, enrich, and sustain the academic, cultural, scientific, and literary heritage of the Institute.

5. To foster better contact between the Institute and the industry, R&D organizations, and other academic institutions in India and abroad to assist with summer training programs, placements, curriculum delivery, pre-placement guidance, technical mentoring, and project work facilitation for the students.

6. To undertake and promote technology and management consultancy, technology transfer, publication of technical literature, and similar activities in conjunction with the Institute.

7. To promote and conduct scientific and industrial research among the alumni by utilizing the available facilities at the Institute.

8. To help alumni achieve their professional goals.

9. To provide its members access to the library, laboratories, and computing facilities available at the Institute and to help improve these resources.

10. To promote activities that are essential for holistic personality development and may have received less attention during regular studies.

11. To further fulfill any objectives that the association decides on from time to time.

12. To promote incubation centre and startup activities at the institute.
